Google update in progress
Got an excited phone call from a client on Monday - found himself hitting some major keywords that we’d been targeting, but hadn’t expected to rank for anytime time soon.
Strategy was to hit the Longtail before focusing on the generic keywords, but seems the generics have come through early.
What’s interesting is that I’m not able to see this happening across the board, so appears initially to be related to site authority issues.
However, Black Hat SEO posted that the week before Google had begun shifting adult keywords out from generic searches.
While I don’t do any work with the adult industry, it makes for a very interesting observation. Applying a strategy to work with the change across all clients is going to make for some interesting problem-solving.
