Paedophilia on Google Images?

I was disturbed by a recent discovery, while searching for stock images for the news blog.

If you do a search on Google Images for dvd, with language and adult filters off, the third listing appears to be for a site promoting paedophilia material. It’s not hard to spot - there’s a naked pre-pubescent girl in the thumbnail image.

Superficially, it’s a site selling videos from nudist groups, showing how happy such nudist groups are living together.

However, if you look at the site, the videos all appear to specifically feature pre-pubescent girls. For example, one video appears entirely devoted to showing a 12-year old girl perform gymnastics while completely naked.

What I find most disturbing is that such a site could have such a prominent position in the search results for such a pivotal keyword.

I’m still having difficulty determining if this is a genuine paedophilia site that happened to somehow rise high in the results, or whether it’s a sting set up to net paedophiliacs on the internet.

Of course, perhaps I’ve misunderstood the entire point of the site. Somehow the entire issue leaves a bad taste of the internet.
