Losing out on TV interview requests
Ouch - lost out on a couple of TV interview requests over the past few weeks because of my running a number of news sites.
The BBC wanted me to represent a view on surveillance in society on one of their London programmes, and a couple of days ago Sky wanted to schedule an interview over the recent turmoil in the debt markets.
On both occasions notice was very short - Sky basically wanted me there on the same day, but I was out at Glasgow at the time so never read the email till after the proposed scheduling times.
In both instances I apologies and indicated that I’d be happy to work with them in future, but would need 24 hours notice.
I have actually been interviewed over the telephone for BBC Scotland, but TV is another matter of course.
Still, interesting to see I have had some interview requests - maybe if I can actually get some under my belt, I may consider a personal Wikipedia page. :)
Better still - offline marketing…
