Losing out by not using PPC?

The backbone of my business is SEO, but I’ve come to realise that I am completely missing out by not having embraced PPC.

For example, I started my first real affiliate program recently. I can sit and wait for leads via SEO. Or I can push traffic in via PPC and generate instant revenues, and tweak for best conversion. Why am I only doing the first and not the latter?

I have a partnership with a company in the USA. It’s built on SEO. Why am I not pushing sales in via PPC?

I’m encouraging my brother to set up his own business. In SEO terms, he’d be dead in the water for 18 months. So why not push on traffic via PPC and make real sales at a controllable rate?

I’ve read Andrew Goodman’s Adwords book, but recently have been reading the Diorex blog.

It’s an inspiration. Goodman gives tips, but Diorex lays it out in simply and accessible and bite-size chunks of information-rich content.

Absolutely brilliant.

I’m finally going to enter the PPC market after a few aborted tests. Sites like the Diorex blog will hopefully guide me into bringing in a whole new level of revenue generation and profitibility to my core business.

  1. I’m creating a blog to sell my web copywriting skills and I’m going to use Adwords to promote the blog. I’ll keep in touch and let you know how that works out for me!

    Cheers,
