Did Dell drop the Linux PC?

dell-linux.jpg

UPDATE: 10th Dec 2007: Dell just contacted me and have fixed the 404 - you can now buy Ubuntu PC’s online from Dell UK again. :)

Just tried to order a linux PC from Dell, but I’m getting a 404 when I try to purchase.

I start at:

Dell.co.uk > Desktops > Ubuntu Linux

But when click on “Customise and Buy” I get a 404:

We’re sorry, but we are unable to process your request to configure the identified product.

I thought it would be good to get a linux machine to help with general sys admin work and generally get to grips with working in a linux only environment.

However, it appears I don’t have the option of getting one pre-installed.

Did Dell drop the linux ready PC already?
